CABLE CARE

To help eliminate possible errors:

  1. Write down all depths, tension and stretch measurements.

  2. Always have at least two people do the calculations and make sure they agree.

  3. After pulling additional 1000 lbs. and measuring stretch, slack off and start over at step one again.

  4. Check depths, tension and stretch measurements and slack off and start over at step one again.

  5. Watch for any tool movement.

  6. Make sure rig blocks do not move.

  7. Make sure wireline sheaves are secure.

  8. Make sure Truck/Skid does not move.
